A Perfect Circle have officially returned with “Starless,” the band’s first new standalone song in eight years. The track arrived this week as the group prepares to launch its 2026 international tour dates.
Driven by dark atmosphere, layered guitars, and the unmistakable vocals of Maynard James Keenan, “Starless” leans into the cinematic sound that helped make A Perfect Circle one of the most influential alternative rock bands of the 2000s. Guitarist Billy Howerdel once again delivers the band’s signature balance of melody and tension throughout the track.

According to reports, the song marks the band’s first fully new release since 2024’s “Kindred,” and their first major standalone single since the 2018 album Eat the Elephant.
Keenan said he was excited to debut the song live during the band’s upcoming UK and European run, hinting that “Starless” may be part of a larger creative resurgence for the group.
For longtime fans, the release feels like a welcome reminder that A Perfect Circle still knows how to make haunting, emotionally charged rock music feel fresh.
